Hey, this hospital has free wi-fi!

Hello blogosphere!

I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been rather preoccupied lately with work, family stuff and some health crap.  I wasn’t going to say anything because frankly, I didn’t want to talk about it.  I still don’t as a matter of fact.  But I’m bored out of my mind, not enough people are saying entertaining things on facebook and I forgot to bring a book so…

I’m having surgery today.  It’s relatively minor.  Without going into too much detail, apparently they have to remove some pre-canerous something or other from my lady bits.  This whole thing came about rather quickly.  I had a regular check-up two weeks ago, a biopsy a few days after that, a consult with the oncologist on Tuesday and now I’m here.

I DO NOT HAVE CANCER.  At least they’re 99% sure that I don’t.  My regular doc just wanted a gynecological oncologist to do the surgery because she does them all the time and they are being extra cautious since I’m still of child-birthing age and my lady bits are a pretty important part of that process. Which I appreciate.

I also appreciate the nice nurse who just brought me a heated blanket because it’s freezing in here!

I’ll be down the for the count for a few days so hopefully I’ll get a lot of blogging done.  Assuming there isn’t anything good on tv.

Also, if you felt like sending me some good vibes around three o’clock, I sure could use them.  You know, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Maybe if you’re very lucky, I’ll blog something while I’m still all loopy from the anesthesia.  That’d be fun for everyone.

Later space cowboys!

S

  1. I’m sorry about the problem with your ladybits, if it makes you feel any better, I’ve been there and spawned afterwards. Feel better soon!

  2. You poor dear! Sending all the positive vibes in the air waves, and then some! The best news is that the discovered these funky cells BEFORE they became trouble, and it is fixable. I’m thinking about you now as they prep you for surgery, and I just know that everything will be fine soon!

  3. Sending good vibes your way! I’ve been there ( still there actually) so I know a little of what you are dealing with. Hope you feel better soon!
